Hand-forged Damascus with a feather pattern running the length of the blade the layers drawn out and mirrored so they read like the vanes of a quill. It is one of the harder patterns to forge cleanly, and it is why this knife looks like it costs more than it does.

Every billet etches differently. The pattern on your knife exists nowhere else the photographs show the style, not the exact piece you will receive.

The blade

A 4.5-inch drop point, hardened to 55–58 HRC. That range is the working sweet spot for a hunting blade: hard enough to hold an edge through a full field dressing, soft enough to bring back on a pocket stone without power tools or diamond plates.

Ground with a full belly for skinning sweeps and a controllable point for the close work around joints and hide.

Solid rosewood handle

Not laminate, not dyed — solid rosewood, with the grain running clean through the scales. Dense and naturally oily, so it handles wet work without swelling, and it darkens and polishes with years of handling rather than wearing out.

Secured with two brass mosaic pins and finished with a brass-lined lanyard hole at the butt.

Cross pouch sheath

Hand-stitched leather with contrast orange stitching, moulded to this blade so it holds firmly without a strap. The dual horizontal slots carry it cross-draw — flat across the belt rather than hanging down the leg.

The difference shows the moment you sit in a truck, kneel to a fire, climb into a stand or shoulder a pack. A vertical sheath catches and digs in. This one stays flat and still draws fast with either hand.

Care — please read

Damascus is high carbon steel, not stainless. It develops a patina with use — normal and expected, not a defect. Wipe the blade clean and dry after every use and apply a light coat of mineral oil before putting it away.

Do not store the knife inside the leather sheath. Leather holds moisture against carbon steel and causes rust. Carry it in the sheath, store it dry and oiled.
