Every Damascus billet etches differently, so the pattern on your knife exists nowhere else. The photographs show the style, not the exact piece you will receive.

The blade

A 4.5-inch clip point with a deep belly. The clipped spine keeps the tip fine and controllable for detail work, while the belly does the sweeping — skinning, field dressing, portioning meat. It is the shape most deer hunters reach for.

Hardened to 55–58 HRC, which holds an edge through a season's work and still sharpens back on a simple field stone without fighting you. Hand-filed jimping on the spine gives your thumb purchase when you choke up.

The handle

Blue dyed laminated hardwood, pressure-stabilised so it will not swell, crack or absorb moisture the way plain timber does — an advantage on a knife that gets used wet. A natural wood bolster and red fibre spacer break up the blue, with brass pins and a mosaic centre pin.

The shape is contoured with a finger groove and a slight palm swell, so it locks into the hand rather than sliding forward under a hard cut.

Leather sheath

Hand-stitched genuine leather with a tooled face, contrast white stitching and a brass button stud closure. Belt loop for vertical carry, moulded to this blade so it seats firmly.

Care — please read

Damascus is high carbon steel, not stainless. It develops a patina with use — normal and expected, not a defect. Wipe the blade clean and dry after every use and apply a light coat of mineral oil before putting it away.

Do not store the knife inside the leather sheath. Leather holds moisture against carbon steel and will cause rust. Use the sheath for carry, store the blade dry and oiled.
