Hand-forged Damascus, folded and etched so the layers stand out across the whole blade right through the ricasso and into the ring pommel. Because the pattern falls differently on every billet, no two of these are alike. The photographs show the style, not the exact knife you will receive.

The blade

A 4.5-inch drop point with a full belly and a fine, upswept tip. The belly does the sweeping work — skinning, field dressing, portioning — while the tip stays controllable for detail cuts where you cannot afford to puncture what is underneath.

Full tang throughout: one continuous piece of steel from tip to pommel, so there is no joint to work loose under load.

The ring pommel

Forged from the same Damascus and left with the pattern showing. It is not decoration. The ring takes a lanyard, gives you a positive index point when your hands are wet or cold, and makes the knife easy to draw from a horizontal sheath with one finger.

Rosewood handle

Rosewood scales, contoured to fill the palm and secured with a mosaic pin. Dense, close-grained and naturally oily — it holds up to wet work and takes a warm polish that deepens with handling rather than wearing away.

Scout carry sheath

Hand-stitched leather, moulded to this blade, with dual horizontal slots for scout carry the knife rides flat across the belt rather than hanging vertically down the thigh.

The difference shows the moment you sit in a truck, kneel to a fire, climb into a stand or shoulder a pack. A vertical sheath digs in and snags. This one stays out of the way and still comes to hand fast, with either hand.

Care — please read

Damascus is high carbon steel, not stainless. It develops a patina with use — normal and expected, not a defect. Wipe the blade clean and dry after every use and apply a light coat of mineral oil before storing.

Do not store the knife inside the leather sheath long term. Leather holds moisture against carbon steel and will cause rust.
