Care — please read before wearing

This is high carbon steel with a raw forged finish. It is not stainless and it will rust if neglected.

Worn against the body it picks up sweat, which is salty and works on carbon steel faster than rain does. Wipe it dry at the end of the day and keep a light film of mineral oil on the blade. Do not store it inside the leather sheath long term — leather holds moisture against steel.

Looked after, it darkens into a patina that most owners come to prefer to the day they bought it.
